The Skylight MID series showcases the vivid colors of plants and animals by taking a different approach to vivarium lighting. Featuring a custom designed set of high clarity and true color leds in an array that reduces side glare and focuses light to a natural color spectrum right in the middle of your enclosure avoiding that washed out unnatural looking effect you get from a strip of lights. The MID-30R has a slim laser cut aluminum frame for use inside hoods or racks that not only looks great but allows for high efficiency cooling directed away from the enclosure. Available in kits from 1 to 6 individual light units the MID-30R can accommodate enclosures from medium to large with usable light penetrating at least 18″-24″ reaching the bottom of most tanks.

Designed in a very different way than other vivarium lights where the majority are oriented around high brightness. The skylight MID 30R is somewhat compromised for a high color rendering index (CRI) in order to achieve one ultimate goal – vivid, intense colors of plants and animals. The red light in the spectrum triggers phytochromes of plants that produce colorful protective pigments, while the RGB based spectrum of the light allows for better viewing of the vivarium with deeper, more intense colors. Additionally the side glaring has been brought to the minimum for a more natural overall look. The Skylight Mid 30R is fully dimmable using compatible timers/dimmers.
