These leaves have the similar properties to the catappa leaf by stimulating the growth of microorganisms that remove wastes from the water. The essential acids from the tannins act as a natural pH buffer and will help to lower tadpole stress and encourage proper growth and metamorphosis.
- Each Copoazu leaf is harvested and cleaned by hand in Peru from an area free of pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
