Dwarf purple isopods are the best species for janitorial duties of the substrate and should be included in every clean up crew. They are tiny and stay under the substrate only coming out at night to feed on organic wastes. Totally harmless to other inhabitants like dart frog and toads. Each container has a starting colony of around 25 isopods on a bed of our Isopod Substrate.
